Vocational Talk

This program series will introduce you to the members and friends of Murrumbidgee Rotary, by sharing their Vocational Talks, a traditional part of new member induction.

From the Object of Rotary: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying by each Rotarian of his/her occupation as an opportunity to serve society.

Some Focus Questions:

  • Tell us what you do for a vocation, something about how you got to this point in your career.
  • What are some of the major challenges in your vocation/career and how do you deal with them?
  • What are the major satisfactions you derive from your vocation/career?
  • How do you view the future, short term and long term, for your vocation and career?
  • When did you join Rotary; what positions have you held; what have been highlights of your experience thus far?
  • Why did you join Rotary; and how do you see it supporting your career and your objectives as a Rotarian?
  • And of course, we would like to know as much as you care to share about your personal interests, hobbies, and those who are in your immediate family circle.
